Second day at the Kasauli Club. This was an unplanned photo shoot at 7 AM. Got up at 6 AM to make a cup of tea for myself. Looked out of the window and could not stop myself. So with cup of tea in my hand, stepped out with my Cannon 1200 D SLR.
I had not planned to do an early morning shoot but I wanted to experiment with early morning and early evening lights. Decided to shoot the landscape at f 22 in Aperture priority. Here are a couple of shots...when suddenly I realized that something was not right..read on to know more.
All the above shots are inky blue. Now check the the below pictures bathed in warm glow..
What stuck me was the fact that all the pictures looked inky blue as if on a cold twilight hour.
Immediately it hit me to check my WB settings as my last session entailed taking some indoor pictures.
Yes..I was correct and I was shooting in " Tungsten mode".
I switched over to cloudy to add an extra warm glow to my pictures.
Lo and behold I could see that all my shots looked bathed in Sunlight which was a far more accurate
closeness to the actual bright sunny morning.
Rather..unless..you want on purpose to be creative and caste an inky blue shadow over your pictures.
